Norfolk post office couple jailed for theft


A former sub postmaster and his wife have been jailed for stealing £76,000 from their Norfolk post office.

Robert Humphrey, 52, and his estranged wife Jacqueline, 46, admitted theft at Bradwell between 2006 and 2008.

Robert Humphrey, of Park Avenue, Skegness, Lincolnshire, was jailed for 27 months at Norwich Crown Court.

Jacqueline Humphrey, of Wellington Esplanade, Lowestoft, Suffolk, was given 18 months. Robert Humphrey had initially claimed £40,000 was taken.

He later accepted the final figure of £76,000.
