Railway Cottages in Cantley Christine Allen's remains were found outside one of the Railway Cottages

Human remains found in a Norfolk village have been identified as those of a 59-year-old woman who went missing almost 16 years ago.

Norfolk Police were called to Railway Cottages in Cantley, near Great Yarmouth, on Thursday afternoon after reports of a jaw bone being discovered.

Inquiries have revealed the remains are of Christine Allen, who was last seen in Cantley in April 1995, police said.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage, they added.
