Gorleston firearms charges man given bail

A man charged with firearms offences after an incident at a hospital in Norfolk has appeared before magistrates in Great Yarmouth.

Paul May, 38, of Viking Close, Gorleston, was charged with possessing a pistol, an air gun and a knife.

He was released on bail on the condition he does not visit the James Paget Hospital unless requiring medical treatment.

Mr May is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 8 June.

Armed police were deployed to the hospital in Gorleston on 24 February.
