Man found in Thetford with head injuries dies

A 55-year-old man from Norfolk has died after being admitted to hospital with head injuries.

Officers said the man had been admitted to hospital on Friday after being found unconscious at home in Thetford at 2000 BST.

Earlier that day he had been found in the road in Burrell Way, but refused hospital treatment, police said.

Officers said they were treating the man's death, at West Suffolk Hospital on Saturday, as "not suspicious".

A police spokesman said: "The pedestrian was found with head injuries but he refused hospital treatment and was later returned home by paramedics.

"They were called back to his home later that night where he was found unconscious."

Anyone with information about the man's injuries has been asked to call Norfolk Police.
