Norwich man Paul Dix died years after crash injury

A man left in a vegetative state after being hit by a car died from pneumonia more than five years later, an inquest has heard.

Paul Dix, 43, was struck down near his home in Drayton Road, Norwich, in 2006, and suffered a severe brain injury.

His condition worsened in September 2011 and he died later that month.

Assistant Norfolk Coroner David Osbourne was told Mr Dix was at high risk of infectious diseases. He recorded a narrative verdict.
