Arrest over East Runton ammunition hoard in Norfolk

A man has been arrested after a hoard of ammunition was discovered at a house in north Norfolk.

Officers found a "large quantity" of ammunition, much of it historic, at an address in East Runton, during a search on Tuesday.

A 63-year-old man from the Cromer area has been arrested under the Firearms Act for possession of ammunition and is in custody.

Police said the ammunition was seized and made safe by bomb disposal experts.

The property has been sealed off and further searches are due to take place, police said.
