Youth clubs in Northamptonshire set to receive grants

Five youth groups in Northamptonshire are set to benefit from more than £35,000 of grants.

Groups earmarked for support include the Northants Community Mobile Studio - which will receive £9,000 for music training for young people.

Other groups to benefit are the county's Association of Youth Clubs, which is set to receive £4,900 to help with an expedition to Uganda.

The county council will be recommended to support the grants on Thursday.

The Sikh and Community Youth Assocication is set to get a £6,900 grant to help employ a youth worker to train young people to become young leaders.

Other groups to benefit are Access All Areas and ChessPoint Services.
