Woman in bowling alley robbery in Kettering

A member of staff was put into a head lock by a woman during a robbery at a bowling alley in Northamptonshire.

The woman, who was accompanied by a man, went to the manager's office at Rock 'N' Bowl in Rockingham Road, Kettering, on Tuesday night.

She threatened a worker, put them in a head lock and demanded money.

Police said the pair left with a "considerable" amount of cash and drove off at high speed in a silver Peugeot 306.

Red lights

This car was driven erratically and at speed through red lights in Kettering town centre.

Police believe it headed out of town along Rockingham Road and then via the Stamford Road in the direction of Geddington.

The car had been seen outside Rock 'N' Bowl from about 2130 BST, about half an hour before the robbery.

It had been seen earlier in the day travelling along the A14 westbound towards Kettering.
