Resident rescued after arson attack in Northamptonshire


A resident has been saved from a Northamptonshire house which was set on fire in an arson attack.

The front door of the house in Sissinghurst Drive, Thrapston, was set alight late on Saturday night.

Firefighters rescued one person who was trapped in the property. They received medical treatment at the scene, a fire service spokeswoman said.

The fire caused severe damage to the front door and smoke damage to the whole house, she added.
