Visitors to a Northamptonshire hospital are being treated to samples of the food which the patients enjoy.
Food at Northampton General Hospital is rated as excellent by patient representatives and visitors are now tasting dishes to give their verdict.
"Many people are amazed to discover that we prepare 9,000 meals a week," catering manager Ricardo Hoyte said.
"There is a wide selection of carefully chosen dishes, with all menus being continually updated," he said.
"They are also often surprised that we have just four chefs to do that.
"We work in collaboration with the dietetic department to reflect patients' opinions."
