Two charged after cocaine raids in Northamptonshire

Two men have been charged with drugs offences following police raids on three houses in Northamptonshire.

Officers seized more than 1kg of cocaine, believed to be worth £40,000, £20,000 in cash, a firearm and ammunition.

The raids took place in Kettering, Wellingborough and Burton Latimer on Thursday but details have only just been released by police.

The men, aged 29 and 36, are due in court in December.

They are both charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of criminal property.

The 29-year-old is also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Another 29-year-old man and two women, aged 21 and 51, were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs and have been released on police bail.
