Northamptonshire police investigate pensioner's bruises

Police are investigating whether a 98-year-old Northamptonshire woman was attacked, after her son noticed bruising on her body.

The woman, from Church Lane, Nether Heyford, was taken to hospital on Friday.

Her son found serious bruising, consistent with her having been attacked, police said.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
