An artist's impression has been released of a man police want to trace over a sexual assault in Northampton.

The woman was assaulted by a man in Palmerston Road, by the graveyard and the Fiddlers pub, on the morning of 20 November.

The man then followed the victim to just outside Bar Serengeti on Wellingborough Road before she flagged down a motorist.

He is aged between 20 and25, about 5ft 5ins tall and of slight build.

He had black spiky hair and clear skin and was clean shaven.

He was wearing a black puffa jacket, which had horizontal panels with the hood worn up, and black jeans.
