Man attacked by pair in Northampton taxi rank

A 27-year-old man has been assaulted while standing at a taxi rank in Northampton.
Officers said the victim was attacked by two men in Bradshaw Street after a man started shouting abuse at a woman and he stood between them.
The victim was kicked and punched by the men and sustained grazes, cuts and bruises in the early hours of Friday.
Both offenders were in their early 20s, about 6ft (1.83m) tall and possibly Eastern European, police said.
Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police.
