Man in court over father's death near Towcester

A man charged with murdering his 94-year-old father has been remanded in custody after appearing in court.

Harry Zebedee was found dead by police called to a property in Slapton, near Towcester in Northamptonshire, early on Friday morning.

John Zebedee, 54, of Waverley Road, Reading, appeared before Northampton Crown Court on Wednesday, the court confirmed.

Mr Zebedee is next due to appear before the same court on 27 May.

Police said initial post-mortem tests have taken place, but officers are awaiting further test results.
