No action after armed police arrest man near Corby pub

A man who was arrested after armed police were called to a pub in Northamptonshire has been released without charge.

Officers were called to Greenhill Rise, Corby, near the Hazel Tree pub, at about 11:00 GMT on Saturday.

They conducted a search of the area before detaining the man.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said he was later released and no further action was being taken.

Police said no other information was available.
