Man denies killing Northamptonshire man Karoly Varga

A 47-year-old man has denied murdering a Northamptonshire pensioner in his home.

Karoly Varga, known as Charlie, was found dead at his home in Cannon Street, Wellingborough, on 30 July 2011.

Post-mortem tests found the 76-year-old had died from head injuries inflicted with a bladed weapon.

Elemer Patakfalvi, of Fulmar Lane, Wellingborough, was remanded in custody at Nottingham Crown Court.

A date for his trial has not yet been fixed.
