Tories keep control of Daventry

The Conservative Party has retained control of Daventry Council in Northamptonshire despite Labour making gains.

The election, where all the seats were up for grabs following boundary changes which reduced the number of seats from 38 to 36, saw the Conservatives retain 29 seats.

Labour gained four seats and held two and the Lib Dems held one seat.

The Conservatives have been in control of Daventry since 1999.
