Three boys, including one aged 12, have been arrested in connection with a fire at a multi-storey car park.

Police arrested the 12, 13 and 14 year olds on New Year's Eve after the blaze at Willow Place Shopping Centre in Corby on Tuesday evening.

Two teenage boys, aged 14 and 17, and two men, aged 19 and 20, were arrested on the night of the fire.

All seven people have been released on bail. Police say the fire was started deliberately.

Corby town centre director Dan Pickard said he hoped the car park would be re-opened on Friday afternoon.

He said the Select store was the worst hit and remains closed, while Burtons, Dorothy Perkins and Evans are due to re-open with a "fire sale".

River Island and WH Smith, which also closed following the blaze, re-opened on Wednesday afternoon, while New Look opened its doors again on Friday.

Six fire engines and more than 30 firefighters attended the incident.

Police would still like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area of Willow Place on Tuesday, shortly after 1800 GMT.
