A Northamptonshire police officer has been charged with the rape of a 17-year-old girl.

PC Declan Gabriel, a 26-year-old local response officer, faces one charge of rape and two counts of sexual assault.

He is also accused of misconduct in public office. The offences relate to 21 September last year.
