Arrests after explosion at house in Mansfield Woodhouse

Two men have been arrested after a gas explosion at a house in Nottinghamshire.

Emergency services were called to the property on Vale Road in Mansfield Woodhouse on Thursday afternoon.

Several cannabis plants were found during a police search of the address and two men were arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.

The arrested men, who were both local and aged 18 and 19, suffered minor injuries in the explosion.

They have now been released on bail pending further inquiries.

A police spokesperson said the cause of the gas explosion was not being treated as suspicious.
