Fifteen jobs have been created as more bus services are put on between Nottingham, Derby and Chesterfield.

Trent Barton has introduced five new coaches on its Red Arrow route.

They run every 10 minutes between Derby and Nottingham - up from 15 minutes - and have doubled to every half an hour between Derby and Chesterfield.

The route see more than 75,000 passenger journeys every month, according to the firm.

Commercial director Alex Hornby said: "We hope this investment will lead to even more people visiting shops and businesses in the two cities and Chesterfield.

"We feel it is important to invest now so that public transport can continue to offer people realistic, sustainable travel options, whilst ensuring we are well-equipped when the economy improves."
