Boy, 15, who died in Nottingham motorbike crash named

A 15-year-old boy who died after his motorbike came off the road in Nottingham has been named by police.

The crash happened on Hilcot Drive in Aspley on Friday afternoon when the teenager's Gilera hit a telegraph pole.

Dion Woodward, from Newcastle Farm Drive, Aspley, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre but died from his injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while officers conducted an examination of the area.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
