Teenager killed in car crash near Nottingham identified


A 16-year-old Nottingham pedestrian who died in a road accident in the early hours of Sunday has been identified by Nottinghamshire police.

Terri Sheppard, 16, of Dunstan Street, died in hospital after the accident on the A612 Colwick Loop Road at 0100 BST.

The teenager was struck by a Vauxhall Astra at the junction of the loop road and Stoke Lane, Gedlng.

The 20-year-old man driving the Astra was treated for shock at the scene, but was otherwise uninjured.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone with information to contact them.
