More than 50 guests were forced to leave a Nottingham hotel after a fire started.

Emergency crews were called to the Crowne Plaza, on Wollaton Street, in the city centre, at about 0050 BST on Sunday.

A spokeswoman said the fire started in the hotel kitchen.

Guests were able to return to their rooms once the fire had been brought under control. There were no reports of any injuries.
