Man arrested over Nottingham garden shooting murder

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was shot dead in a Nottingham garden.

Police were called to the property in Heatherington Gardens, Top Valley, at about 0050 BST on Saturday.

Mark Shaw, 24, of Winterton Rise, Bestwood, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The father-of-one had been shot in the head.

Officers said a man was arrested after voluntarily attending Oxclose Lane police station on Tuesday.

Officers are continuing to carry out high visibility patrols in the area.
