Two in court over Arnold Post Office robbery

Two men have appeared in court charged with robbery after cash was stolen outside a post office in Nottingham.

A cash box was taken from a security guard outside Killisick Post Office in Arnold on Monday.

No weapons were used, and the man was not injured but was left "extremely shaken".

A 22-year-old from Bulwell was remanded in custody by Nottingham magistrates and a 21-year-old from Sherwood was released on bail.

Both are due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 8 September.

Three people arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender - a 26-year-old man, a 31-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman - have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police said a substantial amount of the stolen cash had been recovered, along with other items including stationery and stamps.
