About 19 homes were evacuated after a large fire broke out at an industrial estate in Nottingham.

Thirty firefighters, from across the county, tackled the fire on the Whitemoor Industrial Estate on Nuthall Road in Aspley at about 0020 BST.

The A610 at Bobbers Mill had to be closed but was reopened before 0700 BST. People have also been allowed to return to their homes.

Police said they were not treating the fire as suspicious at this stage.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Gary Swinn, of Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue, said people who had to leave their homes were accommodated in two local pubs.

Firefighters were damping down at the scene on Friday morning.

Crews from Arnold, Highfields and Mansfield attended the incident.
