Victim of Nottingham stabbing death had baby son

A 21-year-old woman found dead at a house in Nottingham had a nine-week-old son, it has emerged.

Sara West was found dead at her home in Aspley Lane by officers at about 1315 BST on Wednesday.

A post-mortem examination found she died as a result of stab wounds. The house remains cordoned off.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Detectives were granted a further 24 hours to question him on Thursday night.

In a statement, Miss West's father, Roger, said: "It's hard to cope and it does not seem real right now.

"She was like summer warmth on a cold day - she was a girl who would make any dad proud."

He said his daughter was a proud mother to her baby son Joshua.
