Man in court over death of Sara West in Nottingham

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman who was found dead at a house in Nottingham.

Sara West, 21, who had a nine-week-old baby son, was found at her home in Aspley Lane by police at about 1315 BST on Wednesday.

A post-mortem examination found she died as a result of stab wounds.

James Sullivan, 22, of Maltby Close, Aspley, was charged with murder. He was remanded in custody when he appeared before magistrates in Nottingham.

He is expected to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday.
