Man in custody over Nottingham street stabbing

A 27-year-old man charged after a man was stabbed in Nottingham city centre has been remanded in custody.

The 32-year-old victim was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre after the attack on Friar Lane in the early hours of Sunday. He remains in hospital.

The 27-year-old appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with wounding with intent. There was no application for bail.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 8 December.
