NHS records are damaged in Nottingham fire
Medical records have been damaged in a fire at an NHS building in Nottingham.
Fire crews were called to Duncan MacMillan House in Porchester Road, Mapperley, on Wednesday evening.
The former hospital contains offices and teaching facilities but the fire was confined to a downstairs storage area. No one was injured.
Nottingham Healthcare NHS Trust said about 500 of 100,000 sets of records had been affected. The cause is being investigated.
A spokesman said the records related to patients who had been discharged for at least a year.
Where possible patients would be traced and informed, the trust said.
