Arrests follow Mansfield football trouble

  • Published

Five Nottinghamshire football supporters have been arrested during an early morning police operation.

The move follows trouble which broke out before Mansfield Town's away game against Newport on 18 September.

There have already been some arrests in Wales, but Gwent Police passed on CCTV footage to officers in Nottinghamshire.

Separately, six Mansfield fans have been issued with banning orders following trouble at the club's home match against Crawley in October.

Five were banned for six years each and the sixth was banned for three years.
