Man charged with raping 17-year-old girl in Nottingham

A man has been charged with raping a 17-year-old girl in Nottingham.

The assault took place in the Open University grounds, near the Gregory Boulevard and Mansfield Road junction, at about 0400 GMT on 11 November.

A 20-year-old Nottingham man was arrested in connection with the assault on Tuesday and has been charged with rape and making threats to kill.

He remains in police custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
