A woman has been killed when her car came off a Nottinghamshire road.

The 23-year-old's Mini Cooper left the A161 at Misterton near Retford just after 1900 GMT on Friday and hit a tree.

She died at the scene, paramedics said. Police said they did not think there were any other vehicles involved.

Officers made an appeal for witnesses and said they would be identifying the woman when her family had been informed.
