Three rescued from flat fire in Bestwood

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have rescued three people from a fire in a flat in Nottingham.

Emergency crews were called to the fire at the ground floor property in Wyton Close, Bestwood, just after 2130 GMT on Sunday.

The three people were brought to safety and were given first aid by paramedics at the scene, a Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said.

The cause is being investigated by police and fire officials.
