Nottingham man pleads guilty to rape of girl, 17

A man has pleaded guilty to raping a 17-year-old girl in Nottingham's Open University grounds.

James Hamilton, aged 20, of Cherry Orchard Mount, Bestwood, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday, charged with rape.

The assault took place next to Clarendon Collage near the Gregory Boulevard and Mansfield Road junction, at about 0400 GMT on 11 November.

Hamilton is due to be sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court in February.
