Specialist police are supporting the family of a man critically injured in a shooting in Nottingham.
The incident happened in the early hours of Boxing Day in the Westville Gardens area of St. Ann's.
The 24-year-old man from Nottingham underwent emergency surgery at the city's Queen's Medical Centre. His condition is now "critical but stable".
Detectives said they had spoken to around 20 people who had been at a nearby house party at the time.
But they said they still wanted to speak to 10 other partygoers.
Det Ch Insp Tony Heydon said: "I would like to reassure the public that we believe this was an isolated incident however, a man remains critically ill in hospital and it is vital anyone else who was at the party or in the area around 1am contacts us immediately."
A forensic examination of the scene - a paved and grassed area in the centre of Westville Gardens - has been carried out, and police now believe a number of shots were fired, though no-one else is thought to have been injured.
House-to-house inquiries are being carried out and officers are also examining CCTV footage of the area.
