Crews rescue two people from house fire in Nottingham

Two people and their dog have been rescued from a fire at a house in part of Nottingham.

Fire crews were called to the house on Furlong Avenue in Arnold at about 0830 GMT on Saturday.

A man and a woman were rescued from the blaze and taken to hospital for treatment.

Guy Goulding, from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue, said it was a serious fire and investigations were under way to determine how it started.
