Five men arrested in Nottingham after shooting

Five men are being questioned by police after a man was shot during an incident on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Nottingham man is in a stable condition in the city's Queen's Medical Centre (QMC) with gunshot wounds to his legs and stomach.

Police arrested two men in Aspley, two in Beeston and a fifth man near QMC, following the incident at 2040 GMT.

The arrested men, aged between 24 and 56 years, are being questioned in connection with the man's injuries.

Police have not confirmed where the incident took place.
