Pedestrian fatally hit by vehicles on A1 at Ranby named

A pedestrian who died when he was struck by several vehicles on the A1 in Nottinghamshire has been named.

Ian Drew, 39, from the Worksop area, was seen walking in the central reservation on Monday evening in Ranby, near the village hall.

He was hit by a number of vehicles soon afterwards and the road was closed for several hours while police investigated the scene.

A file is now being prepared for Nottinghamshire's coroner.
