More arrests made over Boxing day shooting in St Ann's

Three more men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Nottingham which left the victim in a critical condition.

The incident took place in Westville Gardens, in the St Ann's area, in the early hours of 26 December.

Two men, aged 18 and 20, were arrested in Nottingham in the early hours of Friday while an 18-year-old man was arrested in London on Thursday night.

A 25-year-old arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains in custody.

'Complex investigation'

Det Ch Insp Tony Heydon, who is leading the investigation, said: "While these arrests represent a significant development in the case, it is vital that we hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information about it.

"This is a complex investigation and we are still pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.

"I would urge anyone who has not already come forward and may be able to help to contact us."

The 24-year-old male victim remains in a critical condition in hospital.
