Nottingham shooting pair released on bail

Two men arrested over a shooting incident in Nottingham which left a 26-year-old man with serious injuries have been released on bail.

The man is in a stable condition in Queen's Medical Centre (QMC) following surgery for injuries sustained from gunshot wounds to his legs and stomach.

Police were granted extra time to question two men aged 57 and 42. They were released on bail on Friday night.

Six people have been arrested over the shooting, which happened on 4 January.

No-one has been charged over the incident.

It is believed the injured man was shot at an address in Bramcote Drive, in Beeston.

A police spokesperson said officers have been conducting a search of the scene and the surrounding area.
