Lorry driver quizzed over fatal crash in Mansfield

A 45-year-old lorry driver has been arrested following a fatal crash in Mansfield.

The collision, involving a Nissan Pixo Acenta car, happened at the junction of Cauldwell Road and the A60 Nottingham Road on Tuesday morning.

The Nissan's male driver was pronounced dead at King's Mill Hospital.

Police said the lorry driver had been taken into custody and was being questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, at about 0910 GMT, should contact Nottinghamshire Police.
