Police name Mansfield car park death man

Police have named a Nottinghamshire man who died after being found with serious head injuries near a car park.

Stephen Moody, 49, from Mansfield, was found at about 1420 GMT on Tuesday near the Four Seasons Centre. He died at the scene.

Officers visited his home later and found his ex-wife Catherine Moody, 58, with serious head injuries.

Detectives are investigating both cases but are not looking for anyone else in connection with either incident.

Mrs Moody, also from Mansfield, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham where she under went emergency surgery. She remains in a critical but stable condition.

Mr Moody's death is not being treated as suspicious.
