Police have released CCTV footage of six men they want to trace after a fight between rival football fans at Nottingham Railway Station.

The violence broke out on the evening of 6 February 2010, after a match between Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday at the City Ground.

Five men arrested at the time were convicted of public order offences.

Police have released the latest images as part of "extensive lines of enquiry" to trace those still outstanding.

Det Sgt Bill Henry said: "As the two groups of fans passed each other, there was an exchange of words which soon escalated into violent disorder, with both groups exchanging punches.

"The clash took place on the Saturday evening around 9.10pm following the football fixture during the afternoon."

He added: "We have already brought some of those responsible to justice. However we hope this renewed appeal will help refresh people's minds and the public may recognise those in the CCTV images.

"If you recognise the men in the images then I urge you to come forward and talk to us."
