Business watch move for Nottingham, Kirkby-in-Ashfield

  • Published

Police and business leaders are setting up business watch schemes at three Nottinghamshire industrial estates.

The Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce and police will establish the schemes and offer crime prevention advice.

The three pilot sites are Lowmoor Road Industrial Estate in Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Harworth and Glaisdale Drive industrial estates in Nottingham.

A police spokesman said business crime in the UK costs about £12.6bn a year.

The businesses on the three estates will be encouraged to share CCTV and other security costs.
