The owners of Nottingham's Victoria Centre have confirmed plans to expand it - investing £240m.

Capital Shopping Centres said 2,000 jobs could be created.

The new look centre would house extra shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, as part of proposals to expand it by up to 50%.

It would be extended to the north, on the current multi-storey car park, which would be replaced with a new underground car park.

The designs for the extended centre are being finalised in consultation with the local community, the shopping centre said.
