A disused school hall in a Nottinghamshire town has been destroyed in a fire.

Six fire crews used an aerial ladder to tackle the fire at the former Sherwood Hall School in Forest Town near Mansfield on Thursday evening.

A fire service spokesman said no-one was injured and an investigation was under way.
