Fire crews rescue woman from Keyworth house fire

Fire crews rescued a woman from a fire at a Nottinghamshire house on Sunday morning.

The fire at the property on Main Street in Keyworth started in the kitchen, a Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesman said.

The woman was taken to Queen's Medical Centre for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Firefighters from West Bridgford and Central stations responded to the emergency call just before 0800 GMT.

The kitchen of the house was damaged in the fire with some smoke damage in the rest of the property, a fire official said.
